This is the local weekly Manx Newspaper, it is full of local news, events, business guides and much more.
This issue highlights the delay on creating a wind farm, the steam packets issues with the weather and the ever ongoing question of tuition fees for University on the front page.
On the inside is covers, the latest progress on a Kirk Michael Land Deal and a deal to do with the TT that was never signed. It also includes the future funding on the Pinewood Studios investment.
They also have a review of the Manx Stars in Your Eyes Competition and a various amount of Sport Reports including Mark Cavendish's latest plans and Michael Dunlop and Conner Cummings battling it out.
This paper also includes the 'What's On Guide' which is what people call the essential guide as to what is on all over the island.
However the Manx papers are not printed by a Manx company, they are printed in Yorkshire and are shipped here everyday, which means that due to the adverse weather conditions (like the ones shown on the front cover) the papers are sometimes later or they just don't get here.
This paper is a broadsheet, and I am thinking that I may make my local paper a broad sheet as it suites the population here. This is a business based island with a growing economy and they want the 'hard hitting' news they don't want half naked women all over the front of the paper.

This is the islands weekly newspaper.
This paper is the most successful News based product on the island. It is more popular than the paid newspapers and the news website http://www.iomtoday.co.im.
This paper finds its way into more than one third of the islands households and is one of the islands most important and used advertising mediums.
However as it is only a weekly paper there are not many sites that cover it because of this issue. This paper is printed on a Wednesday evening and is shipped out ready to be delivered on Thursday evening to Friday morning.
This paper also comes with 'The Courier's Monthly Outlook' Magazine and that covers whats going on around the island, business reviews, reviews from the theater and various other performing arts that we have here and much more. Which is handy for the people to see what is going on and to see were is worth going ect.
