The start of my front cover.

To create my paper I am going to use Microsoft publisher 2007. This is my publisher document for the creation of page one of my paper, it is tabloid size of 29.74cm by 43.18cm. The publisher logo is the image below.

 These are the two images that I plan to put on to the cover of my paper first, I have inserted them onto the document by the options of insert and then picture. I then went through my images and selected the ones that I needed to start the front page.
I have moved the papers logo to the correct third on the paper, the top left hand side and I have made it a little bit longer. There is still the possibility that I will add a small price tag somewhere on this logo but as for now I have not decided were to put the price, but this can be added at a later date. I have also added my advert for 'The Engine Room' Night club next to it. I underestimated the size of this advert as originally I planned to include 2 or maybe 3. However now the advert is there I  have realised that they will not all fit. I have an idea of putting the advert for the papers 'App' and 'internet page' lower down the front page like it was on the Lancaster Evening Post. I have also added my headline which reads 'MHK'S ARE STILL DEBATING UNIVERSITY TUITION FEES!' the plan is to include part of the article on the second page and include a picture of some college students, after I have asked some of the students in my other classes for there permission to take there picture.

This is my front cover with the image on, I think this image is very effective and it looks good in that position so it will most likely stay there. I inserted the image through the same way, I had to make the image slightly smaller but that was the only adjustment I had to make other than moving it to this position.
I have put the headline next to the image and it reads;

ELLIOT, FILLS THE ENGINE ROOM.
 ANOTHER RISING MANX STAR.
This is an eye catching headline, although I may change it in the future for now I am happy with

This is the small summary of the story that is under the headline, I have tried to incorporate all of the key points about this gig into this and I am confident that it reads easily and provokes interest into reading the rest of the story on page 4.

'Elliot stormed The Engine Room on Friday night, the young rising star had a line of fans coming out of the club and lining up down the harbor to listen.  The 19 year old has risen to recent fame, read more on page 4.
