The start of my papers website.

I decided to use this website in the beginning which is called http://www.wix.com/. As it came recommended from some of the people who are doing to National Diploma in IT at the college.
However once I had registered for the website and began choosing the layout and the name I found that it would not let me choose the name of my website and that it was going to base it on my email address which does not look very professional when you a starting a website for a new newspaper. So at this point I stopped using this site and found Webs.

This site is called www.webs.com and it had the highest ratings from the search engine that I used for creating your own website.

After registering I was able to choose the name of my website and I chose www.ipmanx.im.net.
I then watched several tutorials on how the website works and how to build your own professional looked website.
The theme that I chose was originally blue and white however through changing the themes and background I was able to change it to suite the theme of the paper and make it look more professional and more modern. As my paper is aimed at the target audience of 16 - 25 year old's these are two points that are very important and that must be met to a very high standard.

I have inserted the papers basic logo and I removed the FAQ link that was in the masthead of the page. I am still debating whether or not to keep the dark background, at the moment it gives the idea that it is almost depressing and it doesn't really make that much of an attractive website.
I have added a small paragraph about Island Press and changed the links to the other pages on the web site. The small paragraph reads;        Welcome to the new Manx newspaper, we have all your local and international news needs as well as our new App available on Apple and Android so you get the latest where ever you are!
